Copernicus climate data store

The R Package KrigR allows us to download, preprocess, and downscale data from the European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts ReAnalysis 5 (ERA5) family provided by the European Centre for Medium‐Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). The package interfaces with the Climate Data Store (CDS) hosted by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) for retrieval of climate data. To use it, we need to create a CDS API Key.

The R package ag5Tools allows us to download and extract data from the “Agrometeorological indicators from 1979 to present and a spatial resolution of 0.1\(^o \times\) 0.1\(^o\) (approximately 11 km \(\times\) 11 km at the equator) derived from reanalysis” dataset (AgERA5).
